This Privacy Policy governs YourTinnitus.com’s (“we”, “us” or “YourTinnitus") treatment of personally identifiable information that YourTinnitus collects when you visit the website (the "Site") and use the services available on the Site (the “Service(s)”). By visiting the Site, you accept this Privacy Policy. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Tracking Technology: YourTinnitus logs IP addresses (a unique number assigned to every computer on the Internet) in order to improve security, analyze trends and administer the Site. Diagnostic Testing: If you choose to participate in the Site’s testing process your information will be collected by us. With your permission, you will be given the opportunity to share that data with our neurology researchers at The Human Neural Plasticity Laboratory at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada and used to conduct further research on tinnitus.
Surveys: We may from time to time provide you the opportunity to participate surveys which might be conducted by a third party. If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information. If there is a third party sponsor involved please make sure to review that party’s privacy policy.
Third Party Links: We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies only to information collected on our Site.
Advertisements: We may from time to time use various outside ad-serving companies to serve advertisements across the internet and on our Site. They may collect anonymous information about your visits to the Site and your interaction with our Service. They may also use information about your visits to the Site and other websites to target advertisements for goods and services. This anonymous information is collected through the use of pixel tags or cookies, which are industry standard technologies, used by most major websites. Ordering of Merchandise: If you order Services from the Site you will have to provide us with billing information pertaining to your order.

If you are an adult and wish to have your child use any of the Services on our Site those Services can only be used with a minor who is under your direct guardianship with your direct supervision through your registered account.

We will be happy to review, update or remove information as appropriate. We may still retain your information in our files however, to resolve disputes, enforce our Terms of Use, and due to technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of our Site.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We have security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal information, which you have given us in order to prevent unauthorized access. YourTinnitus.com uses high security AES-256 encryption, used for banking applications, for all private data. You login credentials are secured with a MD5 hash and are not stored on our servers in clear text. Our servers are housed in a SAS70 Type II-compliant data facility with 24/7 physical security with industry standard firewall protection. YourTinnitus.com scans its systems regularly to maintain PCI compliance. Keep in mind however, that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your and your patients’ personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security and therefore it is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer. Our Site may also contain links to other websites. Keep in mind that YourTinnitus does not control and is not responsible for the privacy or security practices or the content of these other websites.
