Loudness test added to your shopping cart.
Patients suffering from tinnitus visit you every day for consultation. They hear a persistent ringing in their ears, 24-hours per day. You can make no repeatable measurements of a sound that isn't truly there. And when they return a year later, you have no way to objectively determine whether the condition is worsening or not.

As your patients realize that you have no clear way to evaluate their condition, you feel mounting frustration about how little you can do for them.

YourTinnitus.com, Professional Version

Now you'll be able to quickly and efficiently match the pitch and volume of your patients' tinnitus, evaluate their hearing spectrum, monitor their tinnitus over time, and test their residual inhibition against various custom maskers.  Just being able to give patients the ability to identify their tinnitus pitch and monitor it over time provides them comfort and support.  The Residual Inhibition portion of the test will allow you to determine if there is a masker that does in fact provide your patient with temporary relief, and this in turn might lead to a longer term solution.

Developed at a University Neuroscience Laboratory

Our tinnitus calibration methodology was developed by Dr. Larry E. Roberts at The Neural Plasticity Laboratory of The Department of Neuroscience at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, and is considered to be a leading method for standardized measurements of perceived tinnitus frequencies and volumes and their audible spectrum.

This professional version of our test allows you to:
  1. Evaluate patients' tinnitus against a normal standard of tinnitus sufferers and generate reports.
  2. Measure the relative Loudness of your patients' tinnitus.
  3. Establish the frequencies contained within your patients' Tinnitus Spectrum.
  4. Graph your patients' Tinnitus Spectrum against their Hearing Spectrum and study their correlation.
  5. Determine if their hearing impairment is potentially inviting their tinnitus.
  6. Match your patients' tinnitus pitch and provide them a dowloadable audio file.
  7. Monitor the history of your patients' change in perceived tinnitus over time.
  8. Test for residual inhibition with multiple maskers.
  9. Generate downloadable, custom maskers for your patients.
  10. Provide your patients with comprehensive reports for their own information and for insurance, workman's compensation claims, etc.
As part of your subsciption to this service, you will also receive patient referrals from our consumer site.

Evaluation Process

The process is performed on any computer with Internet connectivity, is patient driven, and lasts about 45 minutes. Your office staff can be trained to administer the test through our online tutorial. To achieve standardization of measurements, we will send you special headphones with an integrated sound generation device. The test itself is accessed through a link from your website, and it displays your office's name on it. Test results can be displayed and printed in various formats. You decide what report, if any, to give to your patient.

Our professional Tinnitus Testing service is provided to you on a per-test cost basis at a fee of $19 per patient-test. We charge your credit card for each test administered. You decide how and how much to bill your patients. There is a one time license fee of $1,890 to cover all setup, standardized equipment (one set of headphones with integrated soundcard), and training. All training is provided online and requires less than half a day.
